Rolling Thunder impossible to play??

I'm playing a 1965 Rolling Thunder campaign on a Navy Skyhawk and two things:

There are SAMS everywhere.
and there re MIGS everywhere

Can anyone tell me how Can i reduce the number of Migs and erase the sams? I'm I'm not wrong there are not SAMS until later no??
